Santa In The Meaning Of Christmas - Santa's Birthday Gift

Santa’s Birthday Gift is an attempt to include Santa in the meaning of Christmas. (After I read a story of the nativity to my young granddaughter, she looked at me and asked “But where’s Santa?”) The editor who critiqued this book wrote: “What a cute story! I know there are many stories about how Santa came into the picture, but this is a delightful idea behind the gifts at Christmas.” The story is best for ages 3-10, to be read to children who still believe in Santa! This book received a 2011 National Indie Excellence Finalist Award, and is a 2011 Readers Favorite Finalist. ~ Sherrill Cannon

Walk Before Them

They say the eye's and the ears are the gateway to the mind. That what a child see's and hears has a great impact on that child's growth, character, education, personality and future.

"Therefore may we all as parents lead as living walking examples of what is pure, right, honorable and true"

Our Children

What a blessing children can be. They bring joy to our lives, completion to our lives, and endless precious memories. With all these things come also the responsibilities of raising our children, mentoring to them and teaching them life and life situations. One day, each of our children will mature and take on life's daily encounters away from home.

You see, we as parents define their future. We prepare them for what lays ahead.

Truly, this is a great responsibility.

Children Love To Dream

Well actually I think we all love to dream. Of course there are those unwanted dreams called nightmares. However thank God that not all dreams are nightmares. In fact, many times our dreams are wonderful expressions of our lives, our desires, and even our hopes.

Did you know that in the bible there are many accounts of dreams. Dreams where God literally spoke to people, expressed His heart to people and even revealed their future to them.

Imagine that. Dreams are sometimes prophetic.

Joseph encountered a dream of encouragement that led to great understanding:

Mat 1:20
But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
